During the spring and summer months, Cotter Dragline Services, Inc. travels all over Michigan digging ponds, small lakes, and moving sand and dirt with a dragline – a huge earth moving machine with a two-ton bucket hanging from a thick cable on the end of a boom.
During an average season one or two ponds a week can be dug. While the work can be challenging, Cotter Dragline Services, Inc. enjoys creating ponds for homeowners along with other excavation work. Building a pond can add enjoyment and beauty to a homeowner’s property along with raising its property value.
It’s a sight to see when you start with a field or an unattractive area thought to be a useless piece of property transformed into a thing of beauty within a short period of time. Our customers love to watch us work! It is common for crowds to stop to watch these powerful machines do their job.
